Transfer updates: Eto for Malouda

There is a strong speculation about an exchange deal between Chelsea and Barcelona, linking Malouda and Samuel Eto. Scolari is prepared to offload Didier Drogba to AC Milan / Inter Milan, thereby replacing him with Samuel Eto. Chelsea might end up having multiple deals with Barca this summer (after all their rivalry in the past few seasons), with Deco already having signed, Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto strongly linked. Chelsea are also hopeful of signing Russian star Arshavin. Scolari is prepared to keep Lampard at Chelsea by offering him £140,000 a week.

Portsmouth are prepared to launch a £10m bid for Liverpool frontman Peter Crouch (should they spend so much?). Pompey are also focussed on signing Shaun Wright Philips from Chelsea. With the number of midfielders swelling at Stamford Bridge, Scolari might take the offer with both hands.

Sunderland might not sign Darren Bent, as their evaluation for the player is way off the tag put by Tottenham.
